FE25 (Ecaro 25)
The reasons for using DuPont™ FE-25™ versus other Halon 1301 replacement options are compelling. As international regulatory bodies begin to mandate the removal of Halon 1301 from total flooding applications, DuPont™ FE-25™ can replace Halon 1301 in existing systems, with minimal system modifications. With DuPont™ FE-25™, you get the easiest, most cost-effective method of removing Halon 1301 while maintaining the main structure of the system.
DuPont™ FE-25™ Is:
Total Flooding Of Class-A Hazards
DuPont™ FE-25™ can be used in applications where people are normally present (normally occupied spaces) for Class-A fire assets. Class-A fire assets represent greater than 90% of all commercial protection scenarios. Examples of applications where DuPont™ FE-25™ would be an excellent choice for a total flood fire suppression system where people are present include:
computer rooms, telecommunication switch stations and facilities, semiconductor manufacturing facilities, data processing centers, clean rooms, industrial process control rooms, museums, libraries, and historical sites.
Total Flooding Of Class-B Hazards
DuPont™ FE-25™ can also be used to suppress Class-B fire hazards for areas that are not normally occupied or that have limited access. Examples of these applications include: pleasure craft engine compartments, petrochemical facilities, chemical storage rooms, paint lockers, and other applications with hydrocarbon-based materials.
Protection Of Aircraft Engine Nacelles
DuPont™ FE-25™ was selected by the U.S. Department of Defense as a replacement for Halon 1301 for engine nacelle applications in new aircraft designs. As a result, the U.S. Navy has specified DuPont™ FE-25™ for the engine nacelles of aircraft such as the F/A-18 E/F and V-22.
Explosion Suppression
DuPont™ FE-25™ is used in the area of explosion suppression with the primary application in grain elevators..
